Rm #2 - The bouncy bunnies

Hello everyone, my name is Ms. Kathy. I am a 3-year-old preschool teacher. I have worked at PUMES for over 15 years. “The little ones are the most perfect created beings God made on this planet!” No matter what kind of day we are having, we can have our spirits lifted by listening or seeing something funny from a child.

There are a few things as a personal goal, I like to bring into their little lives:

  • Laughter with a loudness
  • The use of many colors
  • And respect

During story time, for example: When I come to an empty page at the end of a book, I will show the class the blank page and ask each child “What else could have happened in the story?” When each one has given their opinion, then its my turn….I’ll say it fast, loud, with arms waving, and funny faces along with sound effects describing silly events that could have taken place. At this point all the children are laughing, wiggling, and developing into new levels of themselves, learning that it is okay to imagine and feel good thinking outside the box. After all, their teacher is doing thinking outside the box!

Smiles for Miles,

Ms. Kathy 😊
