You are welcome here at Palmdale United Methodist Church, whomever you are! In the United Methodist Church we practice "open doors, open hearts, open minds." You are welcome if you are single, married or divorced, gay or straight, filthy rich or dirt poor. We welcome those who are crying newborns, skinny as a rail, or could afford to lose a few pounds.
You are welcome here if you're "just browsing," just woke up, or just got out of jail. We don't mind if you're wearing a tie or a t-shirt, skinny jeans or yoga pants, pumps or chucks. You are welcome with whatever faith background you have, from whatever tradition, or no tradition at all.
You are welcome here, no matter what your age... from our "golden oldies," to our adults who just "haven't grown up" quite yet, as well as to the teenagers who are growing up too fast. We welcome soccer moms and football-fanatic dads, starving artists and tree huggers, coffee guzzlers and tea-totalers, traditionalists and progressives, vegans and junk food aficionados.
You are welcome here whether you're in recovery, or are still addicted. We welcome you if you're having problems, or are down in the dumps, or you don't like organized religion (we've been there, too!). We offer a special welcome to those who could use a prayer right now, had religion shoved down their throat as a kid, or are just here to please mom.
You are welcome here if you are inked, pierced, or both. We welcome the flexible, inflexible, tolerant, intolerant, those who laughed at, and those who gasped at this welcome. We hope that passersby, seekers, doubters, bleeding hearts... and you, will feel right at home here!
